academic research in GIS

peer reviewed publication and GIS capstone project

Linked two academic research projects I completed in healthcare accessibility.

The first paper, in collaboration with the West Virginia Practice-Based Research Network, measured the usability profile of outpatient health care facilities in rural West Virginia, and was adapted from my masters thesis for publication in the Marshall Medical Journal.

The second is a capstone project for my GIS Certificate which, in collaboration with the WVU Cancer Institute, analyzed spatial and socioeconomic factors in determine which parts of West Virginia are being underserved in breast and cervical cancer screening access.
